Women & Children Research & Advocacy Network
We research, document, and advocate for the rights of women and children facing oppression — especially in Afghanistan, where millions live under systematic gender apartheid.
Our Mission
WCRAN was founded in May 2023 by passionate individuals committed to truth-telling and systemic change. We combine rigorous research with direct advocacy to address the most urgent human rights crises facing women and children worldwide.
Our work reaches the United Nations Human Rights Council, the European Parliament, and national legislatures — because documented evidence is the most powerful instrument for lasting change.
“We stand in solidarity with every woman in Afghanistan who is denied an education, a voice, and a future.”
How We Work
We produce rigorous, evidence-based reports on human rights conditions in conflict zones. Our documentation informs global policy, media coverage, and legal proceedings at international courts.
View our reportsWe engage governments and international bodies — the UN Human Rights Council, European Parliament, and national legislatures — to create binding protections for women and children.
Our campaignsBeyond research and policy, we deliver direct assistance: legal aid, counselling, education programmes, and economic support for women and families in conflict-affected regions.
